IMPATIENS
We are all so busy… (Some hints to find the right pace)
Speed is a supossedly blessed virtue as we can see in the media. The popular thought is that responding with speed is an intelligent reaction. Because of this, people whose response in activities is quicker than the rest, are considered very valuable. Nobody cares if that clerk at the Bank, who is the fastest doing transactions, has comitted terrible mistakes by the end of the day.
Nevertheless, this rush produces suffering and distress, and has even worse effects than the economic ones.
The discomfort which is felt by the person with such characteristics, is very often because of the impossibility of accepting the other person’s way of dealing with his own time.
Bosses who cannot stand to wait for an employee to finish an assigned or given text or document to work with, and rush them from their keyboards to continue with the task themselves.
Teachers who will not undestand their students’ pace, or parents who cannot patiently explain to their children what is expected from them.
They are actually not living at present, they cannot understand that a different speed produces a harmony that could easily blend, being transformed into the vision of the vital dance.
They are usually lonely and misunderstood people, although honoured by others, and unable to trace the origin of the disharmony they feel.
The teachings of this Flower Escence called Impatiens, is that it is not necessary to renounce to speed, but to accept the different rythm of other people, as forming a dance, maybe somewhat caotic, but beautiful and unique.
It is about learning the use of the correct speed according to each situation.
At the beginning of a treatment with Impatiens, the anxiety is quite reduced, because the other person’s slowness, be it true or not, will not make Impatiens angry, nor willing to speed as fast as not to be able to see if there is anyone by his side.
